About Baltimore Marine Safety
Baltimore Marine Safety was founded by its owner Erik Bordeaux in 2019. Baltimore Marine Safety is MFG trained and Class approved. All BMS engineers are NFPA 10 certified to provide your fire extinguisher inspections and service.
BMS service engineers have traveled around the globe for service training in order to provide our good customers with professional and competent service. With over 35 years of experience in the FFE and LSA industry, rest assured that your vessel and crew are in good hands.
Our techs are our biggest assets, and that is who you communicate with from start to finish of every job.
Baltimore Marine Safety is Class Approved by ABS, CCS, ClassNK, Lloyd's Register, and RINA. We are the ONLY ClassNK approved service facility in this service region covering Baltimore, Delaware, Philadelphia, New Jersey and New York.
We are the First and Only Service Providers approved by Liberian, Panama and Bahamas under 402(96) to provide servicing to your vessels launching appliances and life boats.

About Erik Bordeaux
Erik Bordeaux has 20 years in the marine safety industry. The owner started in a Life raft room, and then moved into the FRS side of the industry. This is where he fell in love and found his calling where he can promote Life Safety on vessels.
With 10 years as a volunteer fire fighter and EMT, he was able to easily correlate the two industries to better help promote life safety.
He has trained locally and traveled the world in order to hone his skills to provide safe and efficient inspections for each vessel that BMS services.
